About eMitten...

eMitten was born in 2004 as a joint venture between Colin Dunkley and Damian Wood. Previously trainees in Trent produced a paper newsletter entitled 'Mitten'. This was a rather tenuous 'acronym' derived from the Mid Trent Training and Education Newsletter! It has 'grown up' with the training scheme being 'owned' by the trainees and focussed on meeting trainees needs. Even though the internet allows an ever increasing ease of access to an ever increasing range of resources, it also often seems harder to find what you are looking for and be sure that is reliable. The need for tailored and well managed websites will continue. eMitten should continue to evolve with the training scheme and take on new styles and functions according to the needs and personalities involved!

Mid Trent is a great place to receive paediatric training and hopefully the website is one way to contribute to this and allow an insight into life as a Mid Trent Paediatric Trainee.
