Following the success of the Child Sexual Exploitation Course in 2011, the following new dates for 2012 have been announced -

22nd March - Maidstone
The course has been updated to take into account the latest developments in national policy and from feedback from over 2000 past delegates. The learning aims now include -
Define child sexual exploitation
Recognise typical indicators of sexual exploitation in children and young people
Explore various grooming models, understand the impact on victims and how it affects their behaviour at each stage
Understand what makes young people vulnerable to CSE and why some are more vulnerable than others
Reflect on the diverse nature of CSE and its perpetrators
Get essential overviews on prosecution, disruption and deterrence
Become confident about how to respond to concerns
Learn how to assess risk and harm levels
Be clear on when to share information with others
Identify how to safeguard young people more effectively
Reconsider how to communicate and engage with vulnerable young people
Learn how to access good practice guidance and other relevant resources
