Evidence Based Search
| Have a clinical question in mind? Is there an up to date local or national guideline? Has someone else looked at the same question and done all the hard work for you? Access the Cochrane Collaboration for systematic reviews and search their database. Best Bets and Clinical Evidence (BMA subscription is required) also have up to date reviews. Use TRIP database to do a more broad search on a topic and Pubmed if you are looking for a specific article. And remember if you ever get stuck there is always Google. |

| Have some free time or preparing for a journal club? Flick through some of the most prestigious journals relevant to paediatrics by clicking here. Some articles are published full text online for free however most are accessible only by subscription or through your organisation. Contact the librarian or ICT in your trust to enquire about obtaining an Athens account or an organisational password for access to some of these journals online. |
