Neurodisability

British Academy of Childhood Disability (BACD) - This is an organisation worth joining if you are interested in pursuing a career in Neurodisability. There is a register of trainees interested in Paediatric Neurodisability and those interested are advised to register (no commitment implied - just means you get contacted about trainee issues etc). There is a link to this from the BACD website.

Distance Learning Course Postgraduate Diploma in Paediatric Neurodisability -  this is offered by Sheffield Hallam University / Ryegate Children's Centre, and is strongly recommended - Contact details: mary.colclough@sch.nhs.uk

A lot of the above info is also available from the British Paediatric Neurology website and as there is significant overlap with neurology those interested are advised to keep an eye on BPNA events too. In particular the Paediatric Epilepsy Training courses run by BPNA are excellent, and advisable to Level 2 for anyone likely to have significant responsibility for childhood epilepsies.
