Families must be referred by a doctor. The service provides short break services
for famileis/carers of children with disabilites, including overnight care and
daily care by foster carers, befriending in the community and sitting services.
Ages 0-18yrs.
There are three residential/short stay units in
the county:

This service is available to all children who have a GP in Nottingham City,
Broxtowe and Hucknall, Gedling and Rushcliffe. It provides support to families
who have a child with healthcare needs which cannot be provided for by another
service eg social services. Care is available 24/7. The child should be referred
by a health professional and an assessment will be made.

Provides short periods of respite at home to children with medical conditions or
nursing needs. The child must be under a consultant at QMC or NCH. Families can
